The Holmes Group was founded in 1977 by Rob Holmes to focus on the advanced insurance and estate planning needs of high-net-worth individuals and family-owned businesses. In 1982, when Penn Mutual, our prime insurance carrier at the time, purchased Janney Montgomery Scott, we were afforded the ability to learn about other types of investment solutions so that we can offer it to our clients through our partnership with our broker-dealer.
It was this turn of events that was the genesis of our firm developing into a “full service” financial advisory practice. Since then we have built a substantial base of Assets Under Management and provide a breadth of financial products to help our clients achieve their financial goals.* We have always remained a boutique practice true to our core family values. In 1998 Buck Holmes joined his father after graduation from Cornell University and today is the Managing Partner. Our firm is dedicated to continued growth while still maintaining a boutique, approachable feel for our clients. We continue to embrace new technologies and financial solutions to enhance our client service experience but realize that it is the relationship with us as trusted advisors that is the core of our client experience. And it is this relationship that our clients have grown to appreciate.
